Despair was the very first thing to strike me when I heard taking my diabetes medication increased my risk for bladder cancer. I was really sad. My family helped me get through it and so did my friends. Then a few weeks later I heard that there was the Actos lawsuit New York. A friend who also suffered from the elevated risk of bladder cancer due to the use of Actos was the one that told me about it. She was too anxious about what was happening that she decided to look up everything regarding the matter. From all of the people who were involved to the decisions of the FDA and almost each of the little details, she knew them all. She said she cannot let even one information get past her because it might cost her her life. I realized she was right. I had to know all that I can too if I wanted to have better chances at survival. But the things regarding the lawsuit and trials surely were of no help to my health anymore. I knew I had to focus on the bladder cancer instead. So I was always with my physician so that I can be guided on what were the instructions that I had to follow in order to decrease my risk for the cancer. I have stopped taking Actos now and hopefully my condition is not going to get any worse. I just pray each day together with my family that everything will be better.
